Hai, I’m Austine Iyk Okonkwo, I am one of the vocalist of this group.
When I was a child I danced in the church out of passion. I became the ‘funeral dancer’ and earned my money with it. Now I am in Holland and here we don’t dance in church or funeral, so I dance with my Nigerian fellows and create beauty and power.
Dancing is the expression of the connection of the earth and the spirit. My little child Joshua danced already when he couldn’t walk yet. So it is simply in the blood.
